Above  is illusion number 9, the first uniquely human one. It is closely related to breastfeeding, and transcends illusion 8, which drives the western world's lust for control, power, and ego.

  The disc below is the fourth. It's the one that inspires small children to press their fingertips together under chins in an affected smile, middle aged people to lay back in a chair with their hands behind their heads, and serious people to press their palms together to form a steeple.

  The pattern is made up of numbered color pairs, The bottom pair should be 7 purple/yellow/purple. I've got the colors backwards here. Moving up the colors are 8 orange/blue/orange, 9 yellow-orange/blue-violet/..., 10 green/red/..., 11 yellow/purple/yellow, and 12 blue/orange/blue. The colors begin with the least degree of tonal contrast, and slowly approach the greatest tonal contrast.
